A successful adoption depends on both the selection of the right Basset for your household and the understanding of the Basset’s care taking needs.
So that we may assist you with this selection, please answer the following questions as completely as possible.

All information is kept confidential and is used only for the purpose of
GABR operations.

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.  We’re sorry, but we prefer not to adopt to families with children under the age of 6 years.

If you have any questions regarding the adoption process, please read our Adoption Procedures.

Guardian Angel Basset Rescue does charge an adoption fee to cover the necessary care of the basset prior to its adoption.  This fee is due upon adoption.

Any applications coming in after April 1st, 2015 and resulting in an adoption will be charged the following fee:

Puppies 6 m/o and under:     $350 (plus $100 deposit which is returned after proof of spay/neuter).
Puppies over 6 m/o to 7 y/o: $275
Adults 8 y/o and over:           $175

If you are a BFF member, a $25 discount will apply, but not to seniors 8 y/o and over.

If you have problems with the adoption application or it will not go through, please print out the form and fax it to 815-584-3145.

If you are using a Chrome browser, you may have to click the submit button more than once. If you receive a server error
message, simply click the back arrow and click the submit button again. By using the back arrow, you do not have to fill in
the form again, all the information is retained. You will receive a GABR form received message when successful.
Are you ready to adopt a dog at this point in time? If you are looking to adopt several months from now,
