GABR Middle Age to Senior Bassets
Consider that you most likely will NOT have to deal with
housetraining issues as most are trained and able to give numerous cues to tell you when they need to go outside.
destructive behaviors you see in younger canines, such as chewing on valuable items and play-biting.
taking them out for long walks as most seniors don’t require much, if any, exercise.
Consider that you will have to deal with bassets that…
still love to play, but when you are ready for quiet time, they are equally content to stop and curl up in your lap or at your feet.
love to cuddle and make very loving companions!!!
Most bassets live between 12 – 14 years and many times, beyond that! Older bassets can be with their adopted families for another 6 – 8 years or longer, the second half of their lives! And they are healthy and happy through these years.
Will you consider one of the older dogs listed under the Homeless Bassets? Just fill out an adoption application and add the notation that you’ll certainly consider “an older Basset” for your home.
These mature basset hounds are most appreciative of everything and anything you do for them!! It is as if these hounds understand the second chance Guardian Angel and their new adopters have given them and they want to say thank you! Please consider adopting one of middle our aged or senior bassets, you’ll find a very loving and loyal companion in return!! You’ll never regret it!
