We are absolutely thrilled to have you join us for an unforgettable weekend filled with joy, laughter, and the spirit of community! The GABR Basset Waddle isn’t just an event; it’s a celebration of hope, love, and the incredible work we do together to rescue and care for our amazing Basset Hounds.
This weekend is a major fundraiser, and your participation plays a vital role in securing a brighter future for our furry friends. Each wagging tail and happy bark represents the lives we can change together. With your support, we can provide essential medical treatments and loving care for Bassets in need.

Get ready for a fun-filled weekend celebrating our beloved Basset Hounds! This year, we've got two fantastic ways for you to join the parade of pups and help us raise funds for a wonderful cause!
1.Fundraising Fun Registration!
Why not turn your participation into an adventure? Gather pledges from friends, family, and co-workers to support your Basset(s) as they waddle or ride through our event! We’ve got a super easy pledge form ready for you to share. All the contributions you gather will count as your registration—just head to the Registration tent with your name, and we’ll handle the rest! Plus, we’ll be awarding awesome prizes to the top 3 fundraisers, so let the competition begin!
2. $25 fee Registration!
If you prefer a hassle-free way to join in on the fun, fill out our registration form which includes the $25 fee per family. Then swing by the registration tent before entering the park. You’ll gain access to an array of exciting activities including FREE entertainment, games, face painting, a thrilling costume contest, and the chance to win fabulous prizes!
Every registered participant will receive a GABR tote brimming with goodies, a schedule of events, and free raffle tickets for our $1 Raffle! Adults will get wristbands valid for both days of celebration!
And don’t forget, our festive Mardi Gras theme will set the stage for a jubilant atmosphere as we honor Basset rescue efforts. "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" Let the good times roll and make unforgettable memories with us!

WADDLE MEMORIALS
This year, we’re embracing a heartfelt change to our annual Memorial ceremony at the Waddle. Instead of the usual gathering, we’ll be setting up a Rainbow Bridge Board in our Memorial Garden, a space designed to honor and celebrate the beautiful souls we’ve cherished and lost.
For everyone who has faced the heart-wrenching goodbye to a beloved companion since our last Waddle, we invite you to bring a cherished photo of your pet, along with their name, your name, and any special memories or words you would like to share. You can pin your tribute to our board, creating a tapestry of love and remembrance that binds us all together.
As we gather in this shared space of grief and healing, you will receive a certificate honoring your pet’s unique spirit—a small token to hold in your heart. We hope this experience brings you comfort and solace, allowing you to connect with others who understand the pain of loss and the joy of memories.
Let’s come together to share our love and support, creating a community of compassion as we celebrate the lives of our cherished friends who now run free across the Rainbow Bridge

Sign up and pay all required fees to reserve your spot. If plans change, you can cancel up to 14 days before the retreat start to receive a 50% refund.

After booking, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, packing list recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more.

We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays.
